Concert and masterclass featuring master cellist Coenraad Bloemendal, focused on the solo cello suites of J.S. Bach. Coenraad will be performing and sharing his interpretation and philosophies on the music of J.S. Bach. The masterclass portion will feature performances by Norman Rosenblum, Cathy Lee and Maya Harakawa - three advanced adult students from the teaching studio of Sybil Shanahan. Bach Suites 1-4 will be performed and discussed - please feel free to bring your music and make notes!
The event is on Saturday, February 10, from 1-3:30pm at Hugh's Room: 296 Broadview Ave. in Toronto. There is street parking available. Tickets are by donation at the door, suggested donation $10.

Join Solidaridad Tango and the Luis Ramirez Quintet for a once-in-a-lifetime experience of contemporary chamber tango music featuring the world premiere of Ramirez's Immigration Suite, and a showcase of contemporary tango by Julián Peralta, Diego Schissi, Ramiro Gallo, and Pablo Jaurena.

Special guests will also be making an appearance alongside the duo including fiddler extraodinaire Irish Millie, the multi-talented Dan Fewings, cellist Sybil Shanahan and a sneak peek performance by the orphans from the upcoming Theatre Guild production of Annie.
